Superbowl inventory tsunami?

by Rob Regan on February 4, 2013

The Niners lost last night, but will San Francisco real estate win?  The Superbowl is often cited as the first date in any new year that Sellers and Listing Agents target for putting homes on the San Francisco MLS.  I just checked the MLS and there are only 380 “units” (single family homes, condos, lofts, TIC’s and coops) listed as “Active” on the MLS.  This is anywhere from half to one-quarter of normal inventory since past years have had 700 to almost 1,500 properties for-sale this time of year.

Stay tuned as I’ll post an up date later this week.  If there aren’t at least 500 total properties on the MLS by the end of this week we’re in for some rough sledding…. for buyers that is.  You can also search for homes and stay on top of the San Francisco real estate market at www.SF-MLS-Search.com
